Material Settings

In FiberShop materials consists of two parts:

  • Fiber Material: the material applied to the fibers 3D meshes. you will see this material when you are in the “design” tab.
  • Hair-Card Material: the material applied to the plane (hair-card) after maps baked to see the result of the maps on a plane. you will see this material when you are in the “color and bake” tab.

Fiber Material (design tab):

This material is applied to the blocks during designing.
In this section, we have prepared 8 preset in different colors:

PropertyFunction
main colorthe main color of the hair strands
second colorthe second color of the hair strands. the final color of the hair will be a variation between the main and second colors.
color randomnessRandomize the color spectrum
root tintdistinguish the color of the hair roots and tip of the hair
tip tintdistinguish the color of the hair roots and tip of the hair
specularincrease and decrease specular
roughnessincrease and decrease roughness
Background colorchanges background color of blocks
Strands normalStrands normal consists of two options tube and flat. In the flat mode, the hair strands are flat and in the tube mode, hair strands are Cylinder.

Hair-Card Material(bake tab):

The settings of this section will apply in the “bake and color” tab. settings are similar to the material settings in the design section.

PropertyFunction
main tintthe main color tint of the hair strands.
second tintthe second color tint of the hair strands. the final tint of the hair will be a variation between the main tint and the second tint.
